- Basic Purchasing Policy
The SoftBank Group's management philosophy is "Making people happy through the information revolution," and it aims to be a lifestyle company that makes people's lives richer and more enjoyable.
To achieve this goal, SB Payment Service Corp. conducts purchasing activities based on the following policies.
1. Providing fair competition opportunities
We will disclose information about purchasing transactions in a timely and appropriate manner, provide a fair and competitive opportunity to all business partners and suppliers, both in Japan and overseas, who wish to do purchasing transactions, and will not be overly dependent on any specific business partner or engage in reciprocal transactions.
2. Rational Selection of Business Partners
As a general rule, we obtain proposals and quotations from multiple business partners and suppliers, and select business partners based on rational and clear criteria such as quality, price, delivery time, supply stability, and reliability.
In addition, decisions regarding the selection of suppliers are made by the Purchasing Department independently of other departments.
3. Compliance with Laws and Regulations
In conducting purchasing transactions, we will not conduct transactions that infringe on the intellectual property rights or other rights of third parties, and will comply with all relevant laws and regulations, such as the Subcontract Act and the Antimonopoly Act.
4. Management of confidential information
We recognize the value of confidential information provided by our business partners and suppliers, treat it in the same way as similar information within our own company, and will not disclose it to third parties without consent.
5. Fostering mutual trust
We value communication with our business partners and suppliers, and strive tirelessly to build relationships of mutual trust.
6. Environmental Conservation
We consider environmental conservation by procuring goods and services that have a low environmental impact.
7. No Personal Relationships
We do not have any personal relationships or interests with any of our business partners or suppliers.
8. Sustainability Initiatives
As we continue our business, it is important that we fulfill our responsibilities to help realize a sustainable society throughout the entire supply chain, including our business partners and suppliers. We will actively evaluate your cooperation in our sustainable purchasing activities and the promotion of sustainability among our business partners and suppliers.
In order to facilitate the above purchasing activities, we will, in principle, use an electronic trading system.
In addition, in light of the recent rise in labor costs, raw material prices, energy costs, etc., we will negotiate in good faith when determining transaction prices so that prices reflect market conditions.
